Welcome to Cruse Bereavement Care’s running events section.
Cruse Bereavement Care has runners places in the following races:
London 10km, July 2009
Great North Run, October 2009
Tony Ryan has a target of £1,500 in the Great Manchester Run. He explains why he is raising funds for Cruse:
"Everyone at some point in their life will experience the loss of someone close, CRUSE was there to help me when I went through this traumatic time. Hopefully you'll be able to support this really important charity - you don't know when you may need their support.
"I'm doing the easy bit in running to raise money - Cruse do the hard bit but need your support. Thanks for taking the time to read this, hopefully you'll also sponsor me too."
Cheers
Tony

Cruse volunteer, Mark Eberhardt, is stepping out for the 10km Asics London race on the 12 July 2009. He explains:
"I have recently trained as a bereavement volunteer through Cruse and I feel passionately about the work that they do. They provide an invaluable service to those who are bereaved and without your donations they wouldn't exist."
You can find out more about Mark and how to support him here.
There are more details about the British 10K London Run which starts at 9.45am on Sunday 12 July. Cruse has secured a total of 12 places so, if you are looking for a way to lose any very, very stubborn winter pounds and do something for a good cause, this is a win-win. Cruse currently has seven places left. For more information please email Claire-Louise Farfan
